Oriz is a perfect guide to a healthy mind, Oriz is a social-fi and game-fi

application set to combat the decline in mental health within

and outside the crypto community, powered by the blockchain.


Oriz aims to help increase mental wellness by encouraging individuals,

communities to engage in mindful activities (meditations, affirmations,

reading), these activities comes with incentives and rewards.

About 90% of traders and investors in the

cryptocurrency market, have lost their hard

earned coins and tokens as a result of the

volatility in the market. This volatility is one that

the average trader cannot control.

Crypto markets are volatile, so buying

cryptocurrencies at any price let alone a dip that

might become a long term trend is risky. While

prices could return to previous levels, they could

also fall even further, leaving traders investment

underwater.


Oriz was designed to engage traders and

investors who might have been affected by the

volatile market in mindful activities while they are

also increasing their earning power.

About 90% of traders and investors in the cryptocurrency market, have

lost their hard earned coins and tokens as a result of the volatility in the

market. This volatility is one that the average trader cannot control.



Crypto markets are volatile, so buying cryptocurrencies at any price let

alone a dip that might become a long term trend is risky. While prices

could return to previous levels, they could also fall even further, leaving

traders investment underwater.

Having understood the problem and the target users, the next thing to do

was to provide possible solutions that will help reduce poor mental health. 

The research process had been conducted by the founder and his team,

having sent out surveys to a host of crypto enthusiasts and experts.


The team discovered most potential users want to be engaged in activities

that would help them forget their loss.

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

I carried out a competitive analysis of other digital platforms doing

almost the same thing, at first I felt I won’t get to see quite a number

of mobile apps doing likewise, but to my surprise,  Quite a number of apps

employ gamification, users play games, earn points, use those points to

buy/order items in the marketplace.

at first I felt I won't get to see quite a number

UI DESIGN

Having defined the problems and possible solutions, its time to visualize

the ideas. We worked around colors that will depict calmness and trust,

then a friendly typeface, It was important to setup a style guide so we

could have consistency across the app


UX SURVEY


Before modifying the existing design,

we sent out survey to our regular

users, just to get feedback and see

things from their own perspective.

Here are some of the pain points

they mentioned:

  • Its stressful to fill the forms

    (Sign up, Passenger details forms)

  • Design is not intuitive enough for

  • easy navigation

  • Can't find my favourite and popular

    bus operators on the Intercity platform

NEW DESIGN

In other  to reduce bounce rate, we made sure the hero section which

is the first touch point of the user, has all informations users would need.

" Can't  find your trip' to get suggestions of routes

After testing the MVP( interactive prototype)

in the Nigeria market we realized

only 10% of our target audience would

love to use the product, majority said they love

the idea, but when things get really tough they

would rather talk to their religious leaders or

mentors around.

Mental health awareness is still in its elementary

stage in the country it would take alot of patience

to build this product and expect to make money

from it, every stakeholder involved have agreed to

tweak the product to what can sell because every

business wants to make money.


At the moment after series of brainstorming and

research we have chanelled our energy

to fitness and lifestyle.


Takeaways
